16 Days of Action against Gender Violence
|
Smith Sutcliffe are supporting the 16 Days of Action Against Gender Violence, which commenced on 25th November 2011 and ends on 10th December 2011. Men and women from 55 countries support the campaign by running activities or holding events to highlight, and raise awareness, of the issues of gender violence and to call for an end to violence against women and girls around the world.
The campaign is signified by white ribbons and Burnley was the first town to be awarded “White Ribbon Town” status due to the commitment shown by the Council and other agencies in the fight against gender violence. As a firm that undertakes a large amount of work with women and girls subjected to acts of domestic violence and abuse we are proud to support the campaign | .
